I don’t know about you, but my pen collection is out of control. Storage has always been an issue, so after Christmas I decided to try to create a storage system I’d seen floating around Pinterest.
But as you know, I never fail. So I went to the drawing board and came up with something much better. You can view the details and watch the tutorial on the video below.

Supplies for the wooden pencil holder:
You can find the pattern on the Goodies portion of the blog. If you haven’t yet subscribed or if you’ve forgotten the super secret password, feel free to (re-)join the tribe of Scattered Fashionistas. When you cut your paper, be sure to adjust the pattern to fit the specifications of your exact canvas.
2 8”x10” wooden canvases. The ones I used had an inside depth of 1.5” like the one listed below, which felt like the perfect size for this project.
Strong tape (I used Gorilla tape)
Decorative heavy crafting paper (not cardstock!) in 12” x 12”
Paint/spray paint (Optional)
Washi tape or ribbon
Pen and pencil
